Day 5 - Boundry Creek Campsite -> Haast -> Jackson Bay -> Otto's Corner campsite Lake Mapourika

349km - 4hrs : 26min. Our longest ride so far!

Good nights rest, up at 7. Cool, but clear. No rain overnight.
Up and over the Haast, stopping at Haast Gates for obligatory photo. Then down to Pleasant Flat for morning coffee. A most excellent day. Clear, warm and the forecast is looking good on the West Coast for the next few days.
A detour south to Jackson Bay. An isolated tiny fishing port in a sheltered corner. Perfect for lunch.
Onwards north along the Glacier Highway. An undulating ribbon of perfect riding. Pause a Fox Glacier for afternoon coffee. Then at Franz Joseph to stock up on provisions.
We camp north of Franz Joseph at Otto's Corner on Lake Mapourika. Perfection despite the sandflies. A swim before dinner.
Tomorrow Ursula heads south retracing our route to Queenstown then on south to Invercargill for her weekend convention.
We will continue north.
