Day 10 - Pinder Pond -> Tapanui -> Gore -> Invercargill -> Bluff -> Riverton

290km - 4hrs 4min moving time.

Cloudy and cold start, but no dew so dry tents made for quick packing.
Cold riding forces us to stop early for a morning brew-up at Tapanui (famous for introducing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to the world!).
Licorice tea and date balls plus another layer of clothing help us on our way. Cloud cover continues, with occasional glimpses of the sun.
Straight through Invercargill and on towards Bluff where we meet up with Ursala and have lunch. Bluff is the furthest point south in our tour of NZ.
A quick ride up to the Bluff lookout before heading back into Invercargill and the Zookeeper Cafe for coffee and a planing meeting. Still so much to see on the South Island, but I need to leave enough time to do justice to the North Island!
We head for Riverton west along the coast for the night, and courtesy of the tourist information centre find ourselves a comfortable holiday cottage to spend the night in comfort. Hot showers, laundry and clean sheets!
Weather looks like it will improve over the next few days, so tomorrow we'll head north to Milford Sound via Te Anau. After that head toward the beast coast and start heading north to Picton and the ferry.
