Day 11 - Riverton -> Tuatapere -> Te Anau -> Kiosk Flat Campground

219km - 2hrs 43min

Greg dawn in Riverton. Full cloud cover, but thin and unlikely to rain.
Follow the coastal scenic route along Te Waewae Bay before turning north to Tuatapere - the Sausage Capital of NZ (apparently!)
Morning coffee (sans sausage - honey on rye more to our taste!)
Skies remained low and grey until we approach Manapouri, where the sun finally breaks through revealing the alpine peaks of the Fiordland.
Lunch at Te Anau on the shores of the lake with a stunning backdrop of lake and mountains.
Shopping, fuel then on to our campsite for the night at Kiosks Flat, some 65 km out of Te Anau on the Milford Sound road.
Yet more excellent riding conditions!
A cold swim in the icy Eglington River, followed by a cold beer before dinner. The ubiquitous sandflies the only downside to this idyllic scene.
