Cloncurry to Adels Grove

Just a quick update via the mobile as there is no Wi-Fi here and mobile coverage is marginal. Unable to upload pics from cameras. They will have to wait.

Original plan had been to drive as far as Gregory Downs and overnight there before driving into Adels and Lawn Hill - Boodjamulla National Park - tomorrow. However we made such good progress, we pressed on to Adel's arriving mid afternoon. We stopped in Gregory Downs for lunch and sample what is reputedly the "best coffee in the Gulf". We had been looking forward to this since Moree, where a fellow traveller told us not to miss the coffee and fresh baked muffins at the pop up cafe in Gregory Downs!

We were not disappointed. The best coffee and muffin since we left home.

The last 80 km of road into Adels is pretty rough gravel so tyre pressure was reduced and speed limited. Very dusty.

Adels Grove is just outside the NP and has a restaurant and bar and some upmarket glamping sites. We're on an unpowered site close to the creek and under deep shade. Despite the number of other campers it's still a remarkable place.

Will spend next couple of days doing some walks in the NP, perhaps a bit of canoeing and certainly a swim.
